How does Peek Baccarat work?
Peek Baccarat is played with the normal Baccarat rules youâre used to. If you donât know these rules, I will explain them briefly for you. This isnât a very complex game, but you need to understand the basic rules to know the different situations. The goal of the game is to guess the winning hand.
When a round of Baccarat starts, you have to place your bets. This is the time to predict the outcome of the game. There are in total three options you can bet on:
- The bankerâs hand
- The playerâs hand
- A tie
Itâs all about whether the bankerâs hand or the playerâs hand will be the closest to a total of 9. Itâs also possible that the outcome will be a tie. This has a much lower chance in comparison to a winning hand. Every hand gets two cards from the dealer. The numbers have their own value, the Ace is 1 and 10 up to King have the value 10. With Baccarat you can have a score from 0 up to 9. So when one side has a King and a 5, their score is 15 (10+5). But you canât score higher than 9, so the â1â will disappear and you end up with 5. When a player has a 10 and a Queen for example, their score should be 20. But the â2â will disappear and their score is 0.
If the Player or Banker has a 8 or a 9, the game is over. This is called a âNatural Winâ. If neither of them has a total of 8 or 9, the dealer may draw an additional card. This totally depends on the total of both hands. So now you know to bet on the Baccarat table. Letâs explain how a round of Peek Baccarat works.
Peek Baccarat Twisted Rules
The game starts just like a normal round of Baccarat. You have placed a bet on the Player or Banker hand. You pay a 20% fee on top of your bet, so when you bet âŹ10 you pay âŹ12 in total. This âPeek Feeâ is for the card reveals.
Every round at least 1 up to 3 cards will be shown by the dealer. So itâs possible that the dealer will show 3 of the 4 cards on the table. This gives you the opportunity to âpeekâ some of the cards. You pay for the reveal, but they can give you good information.
After the reveal of the cards you have the opportunity to increase your bet. You can Double or Triple the initial bet. So when you have a good hand or expect to have a good hand you can increase your bet. This is optional, so itâs also possible to keep your bet as it stands.

Peek Baccarat RTP, Bets and Payouts
Most of you wonât be surprised that the payouts and RTPs will be exactly the same as normal Baccarat. You can play this game with a minimum bet from âŹ1 and a maximum bet of âŹ5000 per round.
All the payouts are also as youâre used to. Below you find an overview with the payout of the normal Baccarat game and with the paid fees. If you win a Player hand you normally get a 1:1 payout. But with the fees the payout will be lower. After the fee has been taken away, the payout is only 0.83:1. This is one of the negative sides of Peek Baccarat. You donât have to pay Peek Fee if you bet on the Tie, Player Pair or Banker Pair. Thatâs why these payouts will be exactly the same.
Bet –> Payout –> Payout after Fee –> RTP
- Player – 1:1 – 0.83:1 – 98.80%
- Banker – 0.95:1 – 0.79:1 – 98.8%
- Tie – 8:1 – 8:1 – 93.36%
- Player Pair – 11:1 – 11:1 – 89.64%
- Banker Pair – 11:1 – 11:1 – 89.64%
Our Conclusion
Peek Baccarat is not our favorite game at the moment. The base game is just the Classic Baccarat like youâre used to. There are no additional rules to make it completely different from normal Baccarat. The only thing is the Peek Feature and the way you can bet. The fact that you can Double or Triple your bet is something that excites me.
Unlike other similar games like Ultimate Texas Holdâem, you donât have to pay any fee. Here you also have the option to increase your bets after revealing the first cards, but youâre not penalized with an extra fee. The Fee is also gone when you win the bet. I would like to see that Evolution pays back the fee on a winning hand.
